White SMD LED

SMD, or  "Surface Mounted Device" LEDs, are the most common LEDs in the market. The LED chip is permanently fused to a printed circuit board, and it's highly popular due to its versatility. You can find it in light bulbs and string lights, and even in the notification light on your mobile phone.

Overview of White SMD LED

How is white light produced by SMD LEDs?

SMD LEDs do not directly produce white light. There are two ways in which white light is produced from SMD LEDs as below:

Using a blue LED with a phosphor coating to convert blue light to white light by a process called fluorescence.

Combining red, blue and green LEDs to produce white light. SMD White light is produced by varying the intensities of the individual red, blue and green chips.

Advantages of White SMD LED

  • High-intensity; uniform illumination; Energy-saving and environmental protection
  • Low-power consumption, Well consistency
  • American energy star international testing standard material;
  • PCT/EMC bracket; gold wire package;
  • The product through high and low temperature thermal shock(-40℃/30min~~125℃/30min)500 rounds of the reliability test, higher than the industry's most stringent reliability test standards, reliable quality.
  • Safe and reliable, the product has obtained test reports and certifications such as LM-80 and EN62471(blue light hazard).
  • Advanced centrifugal process packaging technology,  excellent vulcanization resistance
  • High light efficiency, uniform light spot
  • High energy saving ratio, using accurate secondary light distribution technology, choosing different light distribution methods according to your lighting requirements so that each ray of light hits a place where it is needed.
  • Long lifespan, the principle of luminescence is cold luminescence, rather than by heating or discharging luminescence, so the life of components than tungsten filament bulbs about 20 to 80 times longer, up to about 200,000 hours.
